The Challenge:
Samsung hired ThemeDream to produce a one-of-a-kind summer experience for its employees that encouraged guest participation, fun games and activities for coworker bonding, interactive photo opportunities, and playful entertainment for the kids.

The Results:
ThemeDream Productions produced “Once Upon a Time” a fairytale-inspired amusement theme park at California's Great America, as we hosted over 2400 employees and their families, immersing them into the pixie dust world of make believe! We called this mini-Disneyland pop-up theme park for a day: 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥.

Guests entered this fairytale experience by walking through a giant storybook. They were immediately greeted by a kooky Mad Hatter inviting them into the Mad Hatter’s Gift Shoppe to select a hat for his mad tea party in Wonderland! Some guests dawned crowns and tiaras to feel like royalty for the music festival at 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘳'𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘦. Many children selected fairy wings to fly with Peter Pan in Neverland. Other children selected wizard’s hats to feel like Harry Potter and learn magic tricks from the greatest wizard of all time Merlin. Fairytale costumed guests then took red carpet photos with Cinderella & The Evil Queen before entering an enormous castle into 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥. A yellow brick road awaited, along with an "𝘖𝘩 𝘔𝘺!" Dorothy inviting guests to skip along with her singing “𝘞𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥! 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘞𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘻!” until they were joined by the Scarecrow, the Tin Man & Cowardly Lion and took photos in front of the magical Land Of Oz!

Guests snacked on “𝘚𝘸𝘢𝘮𝘱 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘺” gummy worms and bugs at the 𝘜𝘨𝘭𝘺 𝘖𝘨𝘳𝘦 𝘚𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘤𝘬 in a 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘢𝘳, 𝘍𝘢𝘳 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘺 before taking photos with Shrek & Princess Fiona in front of their stinky outhouse! 𝘱𝘦𝘦-𝘠𝘖𝘜! 

Snow White welcomed guests with a basket of fresh, non-poisonous apples as they entered 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵, threw coins into 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘴, enjoyed a live Top 40 band in front of 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘳'𝘴 𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘦, and took Instagrammable photos magically pulling ‘𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦’ and dancing with a ribbon-twirling, fairy-stiltwalker! 

Guests then journeyed to 𝘕𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 where they took selfies with Tinkerbell and Peter Pan himself. Those who tried to approach the giant pirate ship at 𝘚𝘬𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘙𝘰𝘤𝘬 were immediately challenged to a sword duel to the swashbuckling death with Captain Hook! Others who were marooned at Mermaid Cove, took photos with bubble-blowing 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘥𝘴!  

Hungry guests were greeted by an angry “𝘖𝘧𝘧 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴!” shouting Queen of Hearts stiltwalker as they entered 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘥 𝘛𝘦𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘊𝘢𝘧𝘦́ for a curious & curiouser lunch of ‘𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘞𝘢𝘺’ 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯, ‘𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘞𝘢𝘺’ 𝘛𝘰𝘧𝘶, and ‘𝘞𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘞𝘢𝘺’ 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴, ‘𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’ 𝘋𝘰𝘨𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 ‘𝘔𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘳’ 𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘥𝘴. Other guests were invited by Alice & The White Rabbit to crawl down the rabbit hole into 𝘞𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 and enjoy the “𝘞𝘦’𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘥 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦” 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘸 while eating lunch and taking photos with a mushroom-sitting, hookah-smoking Caterpilla and a friendly aerialist Cheshire Cat! 

Before guests left 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 into 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘢’𝘴 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢 amusement park for rollercoaster rides and more fun, they took photos in front of an “And They Lived Happily Ever After…” backdrop to bookend their fairytale immersive experience at our “Once Upon a Time” pop-up attraction!
